Old age Home Visit

As part of its commitment to holistic education and societal engagement, the NSS Unit of our college organizes a visit to a local Old Age Home. This initiative, aimed at fostering compassion and service among students, brought together a group of enthusiastic volunteers who dedicated their time to interact with the elderly residents.

we ensure that our students visit an old age home at least twice a year. During these visits, students distribute groceries, sweets, and other essentials to the residents. They also perform vibrant cultural programs, including songs, dances, skits, and folk dances, to entertain the elderly. This initiative is a wonderful way to instill empathy, respect, and social responsibility among students. The experience of interacting with the elderly, learning from their wisdom, and understanding the importance of caring for them is invaluable.

Students will engage themselves and have mutual learning with the inmates through heartfelt conversations, listening to their life experiences and offering companionship. The event creates a warm, inclusive atmosphere, with students and the elderly inmates. These practices exemplify the college's dedication in shaping socially responsible individuals. By encouraging participation in community service, the institution fosters values of empathy, respect, and social commitment in its students. These activities also enhance interpersonal skills and provide real-world exposure to societal challenges. The visit, therefore, not only brightens the day of the elderly but also leaves an everlasting impression on the students, nurturing a lifelong commitment to serving the community.
